Warren Point heads fantastic four at Meydan

Godolphin horses continued to make hay on Meydan’s turf course last Friday, with four winners on the Dubai Racing Carnival card including a deserved first Group success for Warren Point.

The globetrotting five-year-old, who had previously notched Listed wins in Bahrain and the UK in addition to running well in Qatar and North America, took his form to a new level as he flashed home from the rear to take the G3 Dubai Millennium Stakes.

He could yet add another country to his passport, with the G2 Neom Turf Cup in Saudi Arabia a possible destination for the son of Dubawi later this month.

Mischief Magic could also be on his travels, with the Dukhan Sprint in Qatar on the radar for the 2022 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint winner following his success in the Listed Dubai Sprint.

A pair of three-year-olds impressed on the same card, with Legend Of Time following up his trial win with another routine victory in the Jumeirah Guineas. The Jumeirah Derby will be his next port of call, ahead of a potential European Derby trial and maybe a trip to North America later in the season.

Cinderella’s Dream maintained her unbeaten record with a dominant win in the Jumeirah Fillies’ Classic, a race won by subsequent 1,000 Guineas winner Mawj 12 months ago. Like Mawj, Cinderella’s Dream will be hoping to complete the Jumeirah Fillies’ Classic-Jumeirah 1,000 Guineas double before heading back to Europe.

Comparative continued an excellent Friday in the United States as she gamely posted a first G3 success in the Bayakoa Stakes at Oaklawn Park, while well-bred two-year-old Mellifluent also got in on the act with a winning debut in Australia.
