Racenews

Promising two-year-old Beyond Reason steps up to G3 level for the Prix Six Perfections over seven furlongs at Deauville, France, on Saturday, 28 July.

The Charlie Appleby-trained filly ran an excellent race against colts over the same distance in the in the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot on 23 June, when she kept on to finish fourth.

She had previously made two appearances over six furlongs, finishing second on her debut at Newmarket on 19 May before gaining a comprehensive victory on Polytrack at Kempton Park on 6 June.

Colm O’Donoghue comes in for the ride on Beyond Reason, who tackles seven other two-year-old fillies including last time out winners Spirit Of Brittany, Olendon, Pure Zen and Devant.

Charlie Appleby said: “I was pleased with Beyond Reason’s run in the Chesham Stakes and a repeat performance of that effort should hopefully make her very competitive.”
